Nightingale utilizes procedural map-generation tools in Houdini, integrated with Unreal Engine to produce high-quality 2 x 2 km game maps. One of such tools is the Rock Placer Tool. I worked on this tool, based on Selene Park's original Rock Placer Tool Development. Several optimizations were made, including re-evaluating network structure to identify bottlenecks, creating new features and sub-tools to increase workflow efficiency, and conducting thorough performance testing using both in-built and custom tools to validate updates. This resulted in upto 60% performance enhancements across multiple biomes.
